Navy SEALs use this practice to stay calm. It helps to try it before you feel stressed. If holding your breath is hard, skip this practice. Start with a deep cleansing breath, then…

Inhale: Slowly breathe in fully through your nose, for the silent count of 4.

Hold: Rest for the count of 4.

Exhale: Slowly exhale fully through your mouth for the count of 4.

Hold: Rest for the count of 4.

Repeat cycle: Until you feel more grounded.
