W— Walking Meditation

Walking can be a way to meditate if you move with purpose.

Prepare: Think about how you move through the world.

Begin: Set a goal like walking for peace or healing. Set a destination or time for your journey.

Align: Breathe and take your first steps in your body or mind. Feel the earth under your feet, the chair or bed supporting your body.

Notice: Let movement of body or breath become a way of listening closely. Pay attention to your steps or breaths as you focus on the hope that you carry.

End: Short or long, give thanks for the walk in time or space.

May my steps be grounded in love.
